Mr. Karakhanyan is a practicing lawyer, member of Moscow Bar Association, member of the Defense and Law Enforcement Academy of the Russian Federation. Mr. Karakhanyan has more than 18 years of legal practice. He has an extensive experience of handling disputes during court proceedings, settling conflicts between economic agents, arbitration disputes, and corporate client legal support in areas of tax, corporate and financial law. From time to time, he represented the Russian Government, Executive Office of the Russian President, Russian Agricultural Ministry, Russian Ministry of Economy, Gazprom, Aeroflot, Sukhoi Design Bureau, GUM Department Store, East Line, Optifood, AIG insurers to name just a few. He has worked as a lawyer since 1996 and has practiced law for 20 years now. Mr. Karakhanyan’s professional track record includes work at law offices based in Yerevan, St. Petersburg and Moscow. He has been head of the Moscow-based Barshchevsky & Partners Bar Association since 2001.

Mr. Karakhanyan is a Commander of the International Order of St. Konstantin the Great; he was awarded a Certificate of Merit by President of the Russian Federation, a Medal for Outstanding Achievements in Corps of Engineers, an anniversary medal “Seventy Years of the USSR Armed Forces”, and also received the Person of 2009 Prize for his contribution to legal support of economic freedoms.
