Lawyers and experts of the labour market told DP about changes of Russian laws that will affect employers in 2017. They mention as the main events the emergence of independent centers of work evaluation, restrictions on agency work, changing the rules of calculation of sickness benefits, increase of the minimum monthly wage and increase of the tax burden on the employer.
Since January 1, 2017, a new version of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation came into force. “The changes relate to the introduction of an independent assessment of qualification, peculiarities of labour contracts with certain categories of citizens, as well as to the new chapter of the Code aimed at the regulation of labour of small business workers”, explains Shamil Shikhshaidov, attorney of Barshchevsky & Partners Moscow bar association.
